CIS 1020 – Computer Essentials
For this course I did two assignments. The first one is a Microsoft Word assignment. This assignment helped me become more proficient using Word.
The second assignment was using Microsoft Excel. I learned how to use and create a spread sheet and many shortcuts I did not know before.

Reflection
I learned a lot by doing these two assignments. It was very frustrating at times because you think you know a lot about computers but after a class like this I realized I do not. I will use the skill I learned in this class when I am in the business world. I want to be a business owner and knowing the shortcuts and tricks that I learned in this class will make my life much easier in the long run. There were things with Word that I had no idea they were even possible and they are much easier now. I learned how to make and use a spread sheet which will be very useful to me in my life. It was unbelievable at times how little I knew about computers. This is one of the most applicable classes I have taken at Salt Lake Community College. I know that the skills I have learned here will be useful in the real world and ultimately make my life easier. This class was challenging but rewarding.
